"Massive volcano eruption in Japan, only 50 kilometers away from the nuclear power plant (NPP) Sendai" or "Danger of a new nuclear power plant disaster in Japan; volcano not far from NPP erupted" that are the headlines of the International Media about the eruption of the volcano Sakurajima near the City of Kagoshima. The Japanese authorities and media "trivialize" the risk for the just only 50 km from the volcano Sakurajima away located NPP Sendai. At the NPP Sendai just only recently two nuclear reactors have restarted their operation. Considering the risk of earthquakes and volcano eruptions, worried citizens and ecologists have criticized the restart of the nuclear reactors. They pointed to the nuclear disaster of Fukushima in 2011, which was triggered off by an earthquake. Im AKW Sendai wurden erst kuerzlich zwei Atom-Reaktoren wieder in Betrieb genommen. In Anbetracht der Risiken von Erdbeben und Vulkan-Ausbruechen hatten besorgte Buerger und Umwelt-Schuetzer die Wieder-Inbetriebnahme der Atom-Reaktoren kritisiert. Dabei wurde auf die Atom-Katastrophe von Fukushima 2011 hingewiesen, welche durch ein Erdbeben ausgeloest wurde. Im Umkreis von 160 Kilometern um das AKW Sendai befinden sich 14 weitere aktive Vulkane! Die japanische Wetter-Behoerde erhoehte die Warnstufe beim Vulkan von bisher zwei auf Stufe drei! It is about a sensor equipped carpet, which immediately detects if there is metal in the shoes of a passenger. The built-in sensors in the carpet are connected to a device, which transmits the data to a computer. Upon crossing the "Scanner carpet", the passenger knows already before the security check if he has to take off his shoes or not. Upon the ringing of the alarm at the security gate, the person had to return so far once more and "take off his shoes". That resulted in waiting time. It is the aim to improve the "Preparing for the Security Control". Thanks to the new "metal detector carpet", there shall be less alarms and with it less controls are needed. The "scanner carpet" is a World First, which the Geneva airport developed in co-operation with the Swiss company "Sedect Ltd." in Gland since two years. The proprietary company is the enterprise Sensima Inspection. Upon a successful completion of the tests, the airport wants to buy 30 pieces of that "carpet" by the end of 2016. A industrial production will be provided for the new Swiss product and it is hoped to sell the "carpet" in the whole world. The Geneva airport has already reduced the average waiting time in the past months from 14 to 4 minutes per passenger. The optimization of the security controls is absolutely needed because the airport suddendly had to master 16 million passengers within a short time; previously there were only 7 million passengers. Um die Wartezeit bei der Sicherheits-Kontrolle (Security Check) zu verkuerzen, fuehrt der Flughafen Genf-Cointrin einen so-genannten "Scanner-Teppich" ein. Es handelt sich um einen mit Sensoren ausgeruesteten Teppich, welcher sofort erkennt, ob es Metall in den Schuhen eines Passagiers gibt. Die im "Teppich" eingebauten Sensoren sind mit einem Geraet verbunden, welches die Daten an einen Computer uebermittelt. Beim Ueber-Schreiten des "Scanner-Teppich" weiss der Passagier bereits vor der Sicherheits-Kontrolle, ob er seine Schuhe ausziehen muss oder nicht. Beim Klingeln (Alarm) bei der Sicherheits- Schleuse musste er bisher nochmals zurueck und die "Schuhe ausziehen". Dies fuehrte zu Wartezeit; es ist das Ziel die "Vorbereitung zur Sicherheits-Kontrolle" zu verbessern. Dank dem neuen "Metall-Detektor- Teppich" soll es weniger Alarme geben und damit braucht es weniger Kontrollen. Der "Scanner-Teppich" ist eine Welt-Neuheit, welcher der Flughafen Genf zusammen mit der Schweizer Firma "Sedect SA" in Gland seit zwei Jahren entwickelt hat. Die Mutter-Gesellschaft ist die Firma "Sensima Inspection". Bei einem erfolgreichen Abschluss der Tests, will der Flughafen Ende 2016 30 Stueck dieser "Teppiche" kaufen. Fuer das neue Schweizer Produkt ist eine Industrie-Fabrikation vorgesehen und man hofft den "Teppich" in die ganze Welt verkaufen zu koennen. Around 85 Swiss banks paid so far already the enormous amount of 5.8 bn. US- Dollar based on agreements with the US-Justice. The US-Justice "accused" Swiss banks to have helped rich US-Americans in tax evasion. The US-Justice threatened with lawsuits and put the Swiss banks under massive pressure (arrest of Swiss bankers, possible withdrawal of the license in the USA etc.). The Swiss Government intervened and reached a so-called "global solution" for the Swiss banks. The problem was triggered off by the UBS-client advisor the US-American Bradley Birkenfeld, who gave the US-tax authorities "IRS" information about thousands of "offshore" accounts of the UBS. US-Birkenfeld was sentenced later to a short jail sentence for tax fraud. When he was free again in 2012, he got a record high reward of 104 million US- Dollar from the US-authorities "IRS" based on the "Whistleblower program"!! The agreement (tax deal) with the Swiss banks has paid off for the USA; the US-side didn't have to make himself a major effort. Based on documents, which Switzerland had to supply to the USA, more than 54,000 people reported themselves to the US- authorities. The authorities in the USA required from these people more than 8 billion US-Dollar in supplementary tax and monetary fine. That "US-source of income" will likely persist for several more years thanks to further self indictment. Court documents show that the Bank Julius Baer was aware that its business in the USA was delicate. The bank gave its US-client advisors a special behavior manual in 2006. For the US-trip leisure wear was recommended; having a tennis racquet in the luggage would make the Swiss banker less suspect at the US- Customs inspection. It was strictly discouraged to bring a PC-notebook and documents with customer data. Der mehrere Jahre lange Steuer-Streit der US-Justiz (DoJ) gegen Schweizer Banken wird wohl in diesem Jahr (2016) abgeschlossen werden. Rund 85 Schweizer Banken bezahlten bisher aufgrund von Vereinbarungen mit der US-Justitz die riesige Summe von rund 5,8 Mrd. US-Dollar. Die US-Justiz "beschuldigte" Schweizer Banken reichen US-Amerikanern bei der Steuer-Hinterziehung geholfen zu haben. Die US-Justiz drohte mit gerichtlichen Klagen und setzte die Schweizer Banken massiv unter Druck (Verhaftung von Schweizer Bankern, evtl. Entzug der Lizenz in den USA etc.). Die Schweizer Regierung schaltete sich ein und erreichte eine so-genannte "Global-Loesung" fuer die Schweizer Banken. Ausgeloest wurde das Problem durch den UBS-Kunden-Berater den US- Amerikaner Bradley Birkenfeld, welcher der US-Steuerbehoerde "IRS" Informationen ueber tausende "offshore"-Konten der UBS lieferte. US- Birkenfeld wurde spaeter zu einer kurzen Gefaengnis-Strafe wegen Steuer-Betrug verurteilt. Als er 2012 wieder frei war, bekam er eine Rekord-Belohnung von der US-Behoerde "IRS" von 104 Mio.
