The <Round Table> was taking place within the scope of the <Select USA> program by the US-Government. It is about the strengthening of the US-location for domestic and foreign investors. On the US-side the Secretary of Commerce (Head), the Minister of Labor as well as the highest economic adviser of the US-President Obama attended the meeting; Switzerland was represented by the Minister of Economics and eight business-leaders. Switzerland is the sixth-biggest investor in the USA and employs more than 450,000 people in America, said the US-Ambassador in Switzerland. The USA is impressed by the Swiss <dual vocational education system> and is making efforts to get an agreement with Switzerland in that sector. Up to the middle of 2015, the USA want to sign a <Memorandum of Understanding> with Switzerland regarding to the <dual-track system of vocational education and training>. It will be about the exchange of trainees and the US- Minister of Labor plans to visit Switzerland. Due to the <dual vocational education system> the Swiss youth unemployment ratio is just only 3.3%. The Swiss enterprises, which participated on the meeting do already vocational education in the USA! Not only in the USA, but also in the EU-countries in Eastern Europe, the Swiss <dual vocational education> is a major <success of export>. In the countries Bulgaria, Slovakia, Poland or Croatia, such an education system is built up by the support of Switzerland. In Rumania, the Swiss school subject <career choice guidance> was already introduced at the schools; the country has a youth unemployment ratio of about 25%. Der <Runde Tisch> (round table) wurde im Rahmen des <Select USA> Programms der US-Regierung durchgefuehrt; dabei geht es um die Staerkung des US-Standorts fuer einheimische und auslaendische Investoren. Seitens der USA waren die Handels-Ministerin, der Arbeits- Minister sowie der hoechste Wirtschafts-Berater von US-Praesident Obama anwesend; die Schweiz war durch den Wirtschafts-Minister und acht Unternehmens-Fuehrer vertreten. Die Schweiz ist der sechs- groesste Investor in den USA und beschaeftigt ueber 450'000 Mitarbeiter in Amerika, sagte die US-Botschafterin in der Schweiz. Die USA sind beeindruckt von der Schweizer <dualen Berufsbildung> und bemuehen sich um ein Abkommen mit der Schweiz in diesem Bereich. Bis Mitte 2015 will die USA mit der Schweiz ein <Memorandum of Understanding> zur <dualen Berufsbildung> (dual-track system of vocational education and training) unterzeichnen. Es geht dabei um den Austausch von Lernenden und der US-Arbeits-Minister plant die Schweiz zu besuchen. Wegen der <dualen Berufsbildung> betraegt die Jugend- Arbeitslosigkeit in der Schweiz nur gerade 3,3%. Die Schweizer Unternehmen, welche am Treffen teilnehmen, bilden schon Berufsleute in den USA aus! Nicht nur in den USA, sondern in den EU-Laendern in Ost- Europa ist die Schweizer <duale Berufsbildung> ein grosser <Export- Erfolg>. In den Laendern Bulgarien, Slowakei, Polen oder Kroatien wird mit Unterstuetzung der Schweiz ein <duales Berufsbildungs-System> aufgebaut. That is a new record; the former students are very successful with their own companies (start-ups). According to a study by the ETH Zurich (ETHZ) more than 300 ETHZ-spin-offs were established since 1996; thereof more than 92% survived the first five years after the foundation. Those companies have created a total of 2,500 working places and produced a turnover of 585 Mio. Swiss Francs in the year 2013. More and more researcher want to established their own company based on their research results. That shows the start-up competition <Venture>, which reported a new record number of applications by 239 teams in 2014. The pharmaceutical company <Covagen>, which was established by ETH-postgraduates in 2007, is said to have been purchased by a company of <Johnson & Johnson> Group for more than 200 Mio. Swiss Francs. At the latest <Global Talent Competitiveness Index (GTCI)> of 2014, Switzerland is ranked again as number one before Singapore and Luxembourg. That assessed 93 nations regarding to attractiveness and development possibilities for qualified skilled employees. Japan was ranked as number 20 only just within the <TOP 20-countries>. The founder of the company Teralytics in Zurich, Mr. Georg Polzer was recently listed on the <Forbes-List> of the influential 30 <Young Leaders> among the below 30-years old business leaders (under 30 Risings stars of Enterprise Technology). Faehrt der Kalifornien Bullet-Train tatsaechlich einmal? サンフランシスコとロサンゼルスを結ぶ高速鉄道計画は既に40年以上経つ！こ の程76歳のジェリー・ブラウン知事は工事開始の許可を与えた。所謂「新幹線 」が実際に走るか未だ完全に白紙の状態だ。プロジェクトの資金は確保されて おらず、シリコンヴァレーの土地所有者が土地を売却するかも不明。現地の最 も影響力のある不動産所有者はこの計画を明示的に拒否している。ほぼ50kmの 最初の区間は試験目的の為だけに2018年に開通し、初めての列車は2028年に走 行出来る！サンフランシスコとロサンゼルス間の全区間840kmの総工費は680億 ドルで、その内僅か130億ドルしか確保されていない。誰が残りの工費を支払 うのか誰も知らない！！米国の鉄道基盤は一般的に老朽化しており、故障しが ちだ。米国鉄道会社<Amtrak>は昨年約3,100万人を輸送したが、スイス鉄道SBB は1か月だけで3千万人以上の乗客を輸送している！！テキサス州は民間資本の 計画でダラスとヒューストンを2021年までに高速鉄道を建設しようとしている。 パートナー「東海旅客鉄道」の「新幹線方式」を基にする。 The project for a high-speed train (bullet train), which should link San Francisco with Los Angeles one day has become already 40 years old! Now, the 76-years old Governor Jerry Brown have given the approval for the start of the construction. Whether the so-called <Bullet train> will indeed run one day is still completely open. The funding of the project is still uncertain and it isn't clear whether the land owners in the <Silicon Valley> will sell their land. There influential property owners explicitly refuse the project. A first section of nearly 50 kilometers length shall be open in 2018, but only for test purpose; the first trains could only run in the year 2028! The whole line of 840 km between San Francisco and Los Angeles cost 68 billion US-Dollar; thereof only just 13 billion US-Dollar have been pledged. Nobody knows who will pay the remaining building cost of 68 billion US-Dollar! The US-railway infrastructure is generally outdated and prone to breakdowns. The US-railway company <Amtrak> transported last year about 31 Mio. persons; the Swiss railway company SBB transports per month alone more than 30 Mio. passengers!! At the US- Federal State Texas a privately funded project will construct a high- speed train line between Dallas and Houston up to the year 2021. That is based on the <Shinkansen System> with the partnership of <Central Japan Railway Co.>. Das Projekt fuer einen Hochgeschwindigkeits-Zug (high-speed train), welcher einmal San Francisco mit Los Angeles verbinden soll ist bereits mehr als 40 Jahre alt! Jetzt hat der 76-jaehrige Gouverneur Jerry Brown die Freigabe fuer den Baubeginn erteilt. Ob der so- genannte <Bullet train> tatsaechlich einmal faehrt ist noch vollstaendig offen. Die Finanzierung fuer das Projekt ist noch ungesichert und es ist nicht klar, ob Grundbesitzer im <Silicon Valley> ihr Land verkaufen werden. Dort lehnen einflussreiche Immobilien-Besitzer das Projekt ausdruecklich ab. Ein erstes Teilstueck von fast 50 Kilometern Laenge soll nur fuer Test-Zwecke im 2018 eroeffnet werden; erste Zuege koennten erst im Jahr 2028 fahren! Die gesamte Strecke von 840 km zwischen San Franscisco und Los Angeles kostet 68 Mrd. US-Dollar; davon sind nur gerade 13 Mrd. US-Dollar gesichert. Wer die restlichen Baukosten bezahlen soll weiss niemand!! Die US-Eisenbahn Infrastruktur ist generell veraltet und anfaellig fuer Pannen. Die US-Eisenbahn Firma <Amtrak> transportierte letztes Jahr zirka 31 Mio. Personen; die Schweizer Eisenbahn SBB befoerdert pro Monat allein mehr als 30 Mio. Passagiere!! Abenomics fuehrt zu Entvoelkerung auf dem Land! (Sun. 04.01.2015 Smi) 安倍首相の経済政策(アベノミクス)は、グローバル化した東京等の大都市と 切り離されて疲弊した地方に、日本を分断していると言われているが、記者 が訪れた農村県秋田がそれを証明している。秋田市の厚労省職安「ハローワ ーク」はアトリオンに在る。美術館と音楽ホールが併設されている12階建て の建物は1987年に開館した。当時日本はスカンディナヴィア・モデルを基に 概ね福祉国家だった。今日この建物は他の地方都市と似た状況に置かれてい る。賃料を支払える借り手はどこにも居ないので、就学前児童の遊び場や NPO団体、幼稚園等が使っている。こうした使い道で建物は多少活用されて いる。ここの１階には地元赤十字の拠点があり、ハローワークの隣には主婦 が手作りの編み物製品を販売している！職安にはおよそ400件の求人がある が、十分な労働力が無く、郡部は特にそうだ。今日秋田県は補助金等が3分 の2を占めて生き延びている。人口減少は大抵地元に仕事が無い為と言われ ているが、事実では無い。ほとんどの若者が出ていくが、それはいい仕事が 殆ど無いからで、秋田では求人の時間給は690円から900円。これは東京で適 用されている法に定められている最低賃金より20%低い！！地方の多くの企 業は、高い給料を払うより欠員にしておく方を好む！東京には、殆どあらゆ る贅沢を大衆に見せつけることが出来る、小さな上流階級があると言われて いる。40%の労働者は臨時雇用で、低賃金の上、社会保険は殆ど無く、研修 と昇進の機会も閉ざされている！！影響を蒙っているのは特に女性と若者で 、時間給はおよそ700円から千円。自民党内の「新自由主義」支配体制は、 社会福祉政策の低下を押し進め、安倍政権は年金と補助金を切り詰めた。株 式市場に加えてアベノミクスの恩恵を受けているのは大手輸出企業、と記者 は書いている。2020年の東京オリンピックは東京に一段と経済の集中をもた らすと記事に書かれている。[WSNH: 低賃金は日本の恥。スイスでは清掃作 業員でも時給2,500円稼ぐ。] (出典：2015年1月4日付ター ゲス・アンツァイガー紙) The economical program (Abenomics) by Premier Abe Shinzo is said to lead to a splitting-up of Japan in <globalized> metropolises (Tokyo etc.) and a thereof separated, impoverished back-country (province), as a visit of the journalist in the rural prefecture of Akita proved. The Japanese labor bureau <Hello Work> is located at the <Atorion- Culture-Palace> in the City of Akita. The 12-storeys building with museum and concert hall was opened in 1987; at that time Japan was nearly a welfare state based on the Scandinavian model. Today, the situation of the house is similar to other towns in the countryside. Everywhere no more paying tenants can be found therefore the rooms are left for use to pre-school playgroups, NPO-Organizations, nursery schools etc.! With it the building can be animated a bit. Here at the ground floor, the local Red Cross has its office and next door to the <Hello Work>, housewives sell their hand-knitted woolens! At the labor bureau, there are about 400 vacant jobs advertised; there are however not sufficient workmen, particularly in the countryside. The prefecture of Akita survives nowadays only based on two thirds of subsidies and transfers. The depopulation is often explained that <there is no work (jobs); that isn't correct. The young go away because there are hardly <good> jobs; the hourly wages of the vacant jobs in Akita are at a level of between 690 and 900 Yen; that is 20% less than the statutory minimum wage, which is applied in Tokyo!! Many companies in the countryside prefer to leave their vacancies not filled instead of paying higher wages! In Tokyo, there is said to be a small upper class, which can display nearly any luxury in public. 40% of the Japanese wage earners are employed only just with fixed- term contracts; that means bad wages, often nearly no social benefits, no further training and promotion prospects!! Affected by it are particularly women and young people; the hourly wages are based at a level of about 700 and 1,000 Yen. The dominance of the <neo-liberal> wing at the LDP-party has led to a cutback of the welfare payments by the State; the Abe-Government now cuts the pensions and benefits. In case besides the Stock Exchange (Nikkei), somebody at all has profited by the Abenomics, then it were the major Export-enterprises, the author thinks. The Olympic Games 2020 will bring an even stronger economic concentration on Tokyo, is written in the report. Das japanische Arbeitamt <Hello Work> befindet sich im <Atorion-Kultur -Palast> in der Stadt Akita. Das zwoelf-stoeckige Gebaeude mit Museum und Konzerthalle wurde 1987 eroeffnet; damals war Japan fast ein Wohlfahrts-Staat nach skandinavischem Modell. Heute ist der Zustand des Hauses vergleichbar wie in anderen Staedten auf dem Lande; ueberall finden sich keine zahlenden Mieter mehr, weshalb die Raeume an Spielgruppen, NPO-Organisationen, Kindergaerten etc. zur Benutzung ueberlassen werden. Damit kann das Gebaeude etwas belebt werden. Hier im Erdgeschoss ist der Sitz des lokalen Roten Kreuzes und nebenan von <Hello Work> verkaufen Hausfrauen selbst gestrickte Wollsachen! Im Arbeitsamt gibt es ungefaehr 400 Stellen-Ausschreibungen (freie Jobs) ; es gibt nicht genuegend Arbeitskraefte, besonders auf dem Lande. Die Praefektur Akita ueberlebt heute zu zwei Dritteln wegen Zuschuessen und Transfers. Die Entvoelkerung wird oft damit begruendet <es gebe keine Arbeit>; dies stimmt nicht. The measure is generally welcomed and there is a lot of understanding for it.
