The <11th World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates> is going to take place from November 12th to 14th, 2010 in the Japanese City of Hiroshima. A group of personalities published a letter to the US-President with an invitation to their Congress in order to explain his <Vision of a world without atomic weapons>. There would be the most suitable opportunity and place for such a speech; signed was the letter among others by President Mikhail Gorbachev and four other laureates. So far no acting US-President has visited Hiroshima; Obama shall attend the <Asia-Pacific-Economic-Conference> in Yokohama on November 13th /14th, 2010. Friedens-Nobel-Preistraeger aus der ganzen Welt bitten den US- Praesidenten Barack Obama nach Hiroshima zu kommen um an ihrem diesjaehrigen Kongress die Grundsatz-Rede zu halten. Der <11. Welt- Gipfel der Friedens-Nobel-Preistraeger> (11th World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates) findet vom 12. bis 14. November 2010 in der japanischen Stadt Hiroshima statt. Eine Gruppe dieser Persoenlichkeiten veroeffentlichte einen Brief an den US-Praesidenten mit der Einladung an ihrem Kongress die <Vision einer Welt ohne Atomwaffen> zu erklaeren. Dies waere die passendste Gelegenheit und Ort fuer eine solche Rede; unterzeigt wurde der Brief unter anderem von Praesident Mikhail Gorbachev und vier weiteren Preistraegern. The Government member explained the visitors the political characteristics of Zug and answered their questions. The contact with Zug was initiated through a former member of the City Government of Zug and Mr. Maekawa Masao; Maekawa-san is a <friend of Zug> (fan) and he has relocated the international headquarters of his enterprise to Zug already about eight years ago and now he has himself settled down in Zug. On the occasion of the visit of the group from Japan, a working meeting was arranged with the management of the state academic high school of Zug and the <Waseda High School> in Osaka; the aim of the meeting is to start a mutual student exchange. The <Waseda High School> is a member of the <Waseda University>, which was established in 1882 and a total of more than 45,000 students studied there by the end of 2009. The group will visit Berne and then already fly back to Japan. Zehn japanische Schueler von der <Waseda High School> in Osaka wurden zusammen mit ihren Lehrern und Begleitern von Regierungsrat Matthias Michel im Kantonsrats-Saal (Parlament) des Kantons Zug empfangen. Das Regierungsmitglied erklaerte den Besuchern die politischen Besonderheiten von Zug und beantwortete ihre Fragen. Der Kontakt mit Zug kam ueber ein ehemaliges Mitglied des Stadtrates und Maekawa Masao zu Stande; Maekawa-san ist ein <Zug-Freund> (Fan) und er hat bereits vor zirka acht Jahren das internationale Hauptquartier seines Unternehmens nach Zug verlegt und selber wohnt er ebenfalls in Zug. Anlaesslich des Besuchs der Gruppe aus Japan fand ein Arbeitsgespraech mit den Leitungen der Kantonsschule Zug und der <Waseda High School> in Osaka statt; es ist das Ziel einen gegenseitigen Schueleraustausch zu starten. Die <Waseda High School> gehoert zur <Waseda University>, welche 1882 gegruendet wurde und an welcher per Ende 2009 mehr als 45 000 Schueler studierten. The group consists of 15 business school teachers, who are accompanied by a travel guide with a woman interpreter. The principal of the business school section of the center explained the visitors the so-called <dual educational system> in Switzerland. That means, the students pass an apprenticeship in an enterprise (practical training) and at the same time, they attend the classes at the vocational school. In Japan school and vocational training are strictly separated; now, in Japan people think whether the own system should be modified. The Japanese teachers, who have visited before Denmark and Norway, will report about their experiences at home. In Uster, they finally visited the supermarket branch of <Volg> located just opposite the vocational center; that branch is fully operated by <apprentices> (learners); they enjoyed to show the Japanese around in their <own> shop. Eine 15-Personen zaehlende Delegation aus Japan bereist derzeit Europa um die europaeischen Bildungssysteme zu studieren; anlaesslich dieser Studienreise besuchten die japanische Gaeste das Berufsbildungszentrum Uster (Bzu) im Kanton Zuerich. Die Gruppe besteht aus 15 Handelsschule-Lehrern, welche von einem Reiseleiter mit Dolmetscherin begleitet werden. Der Rektor der Kaufmaennischen Abteilung des Zentrums, erklaerte den Besuchern das so-genannte <duale Bildungssystem> in der Schweiz. Das bedeutet, die Schueler absolvieren eine Berufslehre in einem Unternehmen (praktische Ausbildung) und gleichzeitig dazu besuchen sie den Unterricht an einer Berufsschule. In Japan sind Schule und berufliche Ausbildung absolut getrennt; jetzt ueberlegt man sich in Japan das eigene System allenfalls zu aendern. Die japanischen Lehrer, welche vorher Daenemark und Norwegen besuchten, werden zu hause ueber ihre Erfahrungen berichten. In Uster besuchten sie zum Abschluss eine Supermarkt- Filiale von <Volg> gegenueber des Berufsbildungszentrums, welche vollstaendig durch <Lernende> (Lehrlinge) gefuehrt wird; sie zeigten den Japanern mit viel Freude ihren <eigenen> Laden. At the new location in Geneva, for now about 25 people will be employed. The enterprise has locations in six European countries and employs around 900 employees. Per year more than 50,000 tons of coffee is roasted. The company was established in 1818 in the Netherlands; it supplies coffee to retail chains, restaurants etc and it was awarded with the <Corporate Green Globe Award> of the <Rainforest Alliance> in 2009. <United Coffee> (vormals Drie Mollen Holding) waehlte die Stadt Genf als Standort fuer ihren neuen Hauptsitz aus; der Konzern ist einer der groessten Kaffee-Roestereien in Europa. According to a actual study by the <Japanese Institute of labor market politics>, many Japanese are still fully working in their retirement age; at the category men between the age of 65 to 69 years, the rate is 52% and regarding to women, the quote is 34,7%. In Japan the official retirement age will be increased to 65 years up to the year 2013. The taxi driver Hayashi Atsushi is 69 years old and he drives a taxi for nearly 20 years; he thinks that one should never go on pension, but one should simply continue working. In Japan the employment of elderly people by enterprises is simplified by the Government; they believe that the livelihood should be maintained (financed) also through working besides pension and private savings. The study shows that 60,1% of the men are still working due to financial reasons; 81,5% believe that only by working they could maintain the living standard of their families. 13,1% wants to enjoy a bit more luxury in the age and they work for that. 94,6% of the questioned men receive even a State pension, however for only 64,1% of the people it provides the main income. Eight students of the ETH and two of the Applied Science University ZHAW in Winterthur have developed a ball robot within the scope of a <Bachelor Work>. The new kind of robot has many fields of applications, among others in the vehicle- or in the entertainment industry; now, they were invited by a major US-group to the United States in order to present their project. The <ETH Transfer> specialist department supports them also regarding to the questions of contracts, patent law and company foundations; the students do not want to establish their own <spin off> because they will soon start their master studies. She held the festival speech on the 42nd Federal Wrestler- and Alpine People Festival in Frauenfeld from 20th to 22nd August, 2010; that traditional major event takes place only every three years. She wishes that the Swiss citizens behave as exemplary like the wrestlers in the circlet. In times of <Globalization>, traditions are particularly important; the Swiss wrestlers care about them with a great power of symbolism. The wonderful Swiss tradition wakes up emotions (feelings) and is particularly important because globalization leads to estrangement!! It was a successful, wonderful festival, typically according to the Swiss tradition and customs; winner and new king of wrestling 2010 was the charming only 20-years old Kilian Wenger from the Bernese Alpine region, who remained clearly victorious in all eight fights!! The brilliant festival was visited by 250,000 enthusiastic spectators, which were already at the start of the competition early morning at 7.30 a.m. in large number in the arena. The event produced a turnover of 21 Mio. Swiss Francs and due to the enormous popularity of the wrestling, not all sponsors could be considered. The festival will take place in 2013 in Burgdorf (BE). Die Schweizer Bundespraesidentin Doris Leuthard lobte die Schweizer Schwinger (Swiss style Sumo) als Vorbilder fuer die Schweizer; die <starken Maenner> leisten quote: <vollen Einsatz, sind hart in der Sache und fair (ehrlich) im Umgang>. Sie hielt die Festrede am 42. Eidgenoessischen Schwing- und Aelplerfest in Frauenfeld vom 20. bis 22. August 2010; diese traditionelle Grossveranstaltung wird nur alle drei Jahre durchgefuehrt. Sie wuenscht sich, dass die Schweizer sich so vorbildlich wie die Schwinger im Ring verhalten. In Zeiten der <Globalisierung> sind die Traditionen besonders wichtig; die Schweizer Schwinger pflegen sie mit grosser Symbolkraft. Die wunderschoene Schweizer Tradition weckt Gefuehle (Emotionen) und ist besonders wichtig, da Globalisierung zu Entfremdung fuehrt!! Es war ein erfolgreiches, wunderschoenes Fest, typisch nach Schweizer Tradition und Brauchtum; Sieger und neuer Schwingerkoenig 2010 wurde der erst 20-jaehrige sympathische Berner Kilian Wenger, welcher in allen acht Gaengen (Kaempfen) siegreich blieb!! Das strahlende Fest wurde von 250 000 begeisterten Zuschauern besucht, welche bereits bei Beginn der Wettkaempfe morgens um 07.30 Uhr in grosser Zahl in der Arena waren. Der Anlass produzierte einen Umsatz von 21 Mio. SFr. und wegen der grossen Beliebtheit (Popularitaet) des Schwingens koennen nie alle Sponsoren beruecksichtigt werden. We are looked after well by our personal nakaisan (maid) and the front staff is very kind and helpful too. The Ryokoan is barrier-free too, an ideal resort for the young and the elderly guests. The room bath is supplied by Onsen-water too; that's very rare. Next day, we go by car to the famous <Grand Deco Ski Resort> area, access by cable car. The mountain station is on 1,390 meters; around there is a beech tree forest. In autumn, the place here is ideal for walking and there are barbecue places. There is a herb garden and people walking on the wooden trails; easy walking possible. Fukushima is the region of Nashi, Budou, and Ringo. The next day, we will go to the famous ponds called <Goshiki-numa>, where an easy natural trail (promenade) leads around the pond.
