(Tue. 10.01.2012 Smi) Great awards for Japan. 今週月曜日、チューリヒの国際サッカー連盟、FIFAが「FIFA バロンドール」 祝賀式を開催し、2011年度の様々な賞を授与した。この世界的に有名な祝賀 式で、日本はスポーツ界における様々な栄誉ある賞を受賞した。2011年「最 優秀女子サッカー選手」賞には、日本人の沢穂希選手が選ばれた。アジア人 として初めて最優秀選手賞を獲得した沢選手は着物姿で賞を受け、栄光ある 賞を受賞したことに見るからに感動している様子だった。「女子サッカー監 督賞」は、日本女子サッカーチームを指導した日本人の佐々木則夫監督が受 賞した。また「FIFAフェアプレイ賞」が日本サッカー協会に送られ、小倉純 二会長に手渡された。これによって、2011年3月11日の大災害からの復興に力 を尽くしている日本国民の絶え間無い努力が称えられた。 （2012年1月10日付けターゲス・アンツァイガー紙より） On Monday this week, the World Football Federation FIFA handed over the different awards for the year 2011 within the scope of the Gala- event of the <FIFA Ballon d'Or> in Zurich. At that world famous event, Japan was honored and awarded even several times in the field of sports. With the title <female footballer of the year> (2011), the Japanese Sawa Homare was awarded; she is the first sportswoman from Asia at all, who could receive such an award. Sawa-san accepted the honor dressed in a Japanese Kimono and she was visibly emotional about such a great honor. With the honor of <Trainer of the Year in the Women Football>, the Japanese trainer Sasaki Norio, who trains the Japanese women football team, was awarded. The award of the <FIFA Fairplay-Award> was handed over to the President of the Japan Football Association, Ogura Junji. With that sign, the tireless commitment of the Japanese citizens for the accomplishment of the serious natural disaster of March 2011 was valued. Am Montag dieser Woche vergab der Welt-Fussball Verband FIFA in Zuerich im Rahmen der Gala-Veranstaltung zur <FIFA Ballon d'Or> die verschiedenen Auszeichungen fuer das Jahr 2011. Bei diesem welt- beruehmten Anlass wurde Japan im Bereich des Sport gleich mehrmals geehrt und ausgezeichnet. Mit dem Titel <Fussballerin des Jahres> (2011) wurde die Japanerin Sawa Homare ausgezeichnet; sie ist die erste Sportlerin aus Asien ueberhaupt, welche eine solche Auszeichnung entgegen nehmen durfte. Sawa-san nahm die Ehrung in einem Kimono gekleidet entgegen und sie war spuerbar geruehrt ueber die grosse Ehre. Mit der Ehre <Trainer des Jahres im Frauen-Fussball> wurde der japanische Trainer Sasaki Norio, welcher das japanische Frauen- Fussball-Team leitet ausgezeichnet. Die Auszeichnung des <FIFA- Fairplay-Award> wurde an den Praesidenten des Fussballverbandes von Japan, Ogura Junji uebergeben. Mit diesem Zeichen wird der unaufhoerliche Einsatz der japanischen Buerger zur Bewaeltigung der schweren Naturkatastrophe vom Maerz 2011 gewuerdigt. Ban Shigeru Gastredner am <TA-Meeting 2012>.(Thu. 12.01.2012) Smi) 世界的に著名な日本のスター建築家、坂茂氏が、今年の伝統ある「2012年タ ーゲス・アンツァイガー・ミーティング」にゲストスピーカーとして招かれ た。「金融政策の課題」というテーマで講演をするはずだったスイス中央銀 行のフィリップ・ヒルデブラント前総裁が、予期せぬ辞任によって講演でき なくなったために、坂氏が急遽代わって講演をすることになった。坂茂氏は 「2013年TAミーティング」のゲストスピーカーに予定されていた。坂氏は、 建築家としての仕事と氏が取り組んでいる人道的な活動について語った。最 も革新的な国際建築家の1人として知られる坂氏は、2000年ハノーヴァー世 界博覧会での独特な日本館などで知られる。坂氏は又現在チューリヒで新 「タメディア出版社」の社屋を建築中で、同プロジェクトは、坂氏にとって スイスでの初仕事。 （2012年1月12日付けターゲス・アンツァイガー紙より） The world-famous Japanese star architect Ban Shigeru will appear as guest speaker at this year's traditional <Tages-Anzeiger Meeting 2012>. Ban-san will replace at short notice (President) Philipp Hildebrand of the Swiss National Bank (SNB) who was scheduled to hold a speech with the theme of <monetary-political challenges>; due to his unexpected resignation, he is no longer able to hold his lecture. Ban Shigeru was already designated as guest speaker for the <TA- Meeting 2013>. The theme of Ban-san is on the one hand his work as architect, but also his humanitarian commitment. Ban-san is regarded as one of the most <innovative> international architects; he built among others the special Japanese pavilion at the World Exhibition in Hannover in the year 2000. The Japanese Ban presently builds presently the new <Tamedia Publisher Building> in Zurich; this is his first project in Switzerland. Der welt-beruehmte japanische Star-Architekt Ban Shigeru tritt als Gastredner am diesjaehrigen, traditionellen <Tages-Anzeiger Meeting 2012> auf. Ban-san ersetzt kurzfristig (Praesident) Philipp Hildebrand von der Schweizerischen Nationalbank (SNB), welcher eine Rede zum Thema <geld-politische Herausforderungen> halten sollte; er kann jetzt jedoch wegen seines unerwarteten Ruecktritts seinen Vortrag nicht halten. Ban Shigeru war bereits fuer das <TA-Meeting 2013> als Gastredner vorgesehen. Das Thema von Ban-san ist einerseits seine Arbeit als Architekt, aber auch sein humanitaerer Einsatz. Ban- san wird als einer der <innovativsten> internationalen Architekten bezeichnet; er baute unter anderem den speziellen japanischen Pavillon an der Welt-Ausstellung in Hannover im Jahr 2000. (Fri. 06.01.2012 Smi) 新年最初の週の、2012年1月6日（東方三賢人の日）に、激しい嵐がヨーロッ パを襲い、スイスにも達した。時速270キロメートルの暴風が吹き、その後 強い雨と降雪に見舞われた。スイスの山々には最高1メートルの新雪が積もっ た。標高2,100メートルのベルン山岳地方（ベルン州ガドメン）など数箇所で 4メートル以上の降雪があった。山岳地帯の道路や鉄道は雪崩の恐れがあるた め一時封鎖され、山や谷間の村々のいくつかも外界から一時孤立した。1961 年に自動積雪測定器が導入されて以来、1月のこの時期にこれ程の大雪が降っ たのは初めて。（2012年1月6日/7日付けターゲス・アンツァイガー紙、1月8 日付けBlick.ch、1月9日付けNZZ紙より） In the first week of the new year, on January 6, 2012 (Three King's Day), a strong storm weather front crossed over Europe and Switzerland. There were storm winds with a speed of up to 270 km/h and those were accompanied by strong rain and snow fall. At the Swiss mountains, there was up to one meter of fresh snow; in certain regions of Switzerland for instance at the Bernese Oberland (Gadmen BE) on 2,100 meters above sea level the snow height amounted to more than four meters. Roads and railways at the mountains had to temporary stop their operations due to the serious danger of avalanche. Some villages at the mountains and mountain valleys were temporarily cut off from the outside world. Since the beginning of the systematic snow level recording in the year 1961, on nearly all locations at the Swiss mountains, there were never ever that much snow on that date in January. In der ersten Woche des neuen Jahres brachte am 6. Januar 2012 (Drei- Koenigstag) eine heftige Sturm-Wetterfront ueber Europa und die Schweiz herein. Es gab Sturmwinde mit bis zu 270 km/h und diese waren begleitet von starken Regen- und Schneefaellen. In den Schweizer Bergen gab es bis zu einem Meter Neuschnee; in gewissen Regionen der Schweiz beispielsweise im Berner Oberland (Gadmen BE) auf 2100 Meter ueber Meer betrug die Schneehoehe mehr als vier Meter. Strassen und Bahnen in den Bergen mussten wegen starker Lawinengefahr ihren Betrieb voruebergehend einstellen. Einige Doerfer in den Bergen und Bergtaeler waren zeitweise von der Aussenwelt abgeschnitten; seit Start der systematischen Schnee-Messung im Jahr 1961 hatte es an fast allen Orten in den Schweizer Bergen noch nie so viel Schnee um diesen Zeitpunkt im Januar. Stadt Zuerich will Hunde-Zonen ausscheiden. (Mon. 19.12 2011 Smi) 2010年始めから施行された、犬に関する（新）州法に基づき、チューリヒ市 は規制された犬区域を明確に設定することができるようになった。この新し い対策が実施されれば、将来は犬の所有者と歩行者の争いを避けることがで きる。この新しい構想では、犬を紐なしで離すことができる公園を設定でき る。適した場所は例えば市のはずれにある緑の多い箇所が想定される。一方 で、いくつかの公園では完全な犬の立ち入りを禁止することが計画されてお り、特に子供が多い場所が該当する。現在すでに犬の散歩に紐をつけること が義務付けられているが、あまり守られていない。警察の取り締まりでは60 フラン（約6千円）の罰金が課せられる。近年、住民の間では犬に対する恐 怖が増加している。2010年には犬に関する苦情が543件警察に寄せられた。 チューリヒ市では6,360匹、ヴィンタートゥーア市では2,900匹の犬が登録さ れている。スイス全体では5万匹以上の犬がいるが、増加傾向にある。 （2011年12月19日付けターゲス・アンツァイガー紙より） Based on the (new) cantonal law about dogs, which came into force the beginning of 2010, the City of Zurich can single out clearly determinate dog-zones. With that new strategy conflicts between dog owners and passers-by shall be eliminated in the future. With the new kind of concept, parks can be single out where dog owners can let run their animals without lead. Appropriate for that could be for instance green areas at the border of the City. On the other hand it is planned to define certain parks with a complete no dog area. For such a measure, in particular parks where a lot of children stay are appropriate. It exists already today a lead obligation when taking out dogs; that is however often not observed by the (dog) owners. Upon a control by the police, a monetary fine of CH 60 (ca. Yen 6,000) will be given. In the population, the fear about dogs has increased; in 2010 there were 543 police complaints based on dogs. In the City of Zurich, there are 6,360 and in Winterthur nearly 2,900 dogs registered; Switzerland-wide the number of dogs is more than 500,000 of which the population is further on the increase. Basierend auf dem (neuen) kantonalen Hundegesetz, welches Anfang 2010 in Kraft trat, kann die Stadt Zuerich klar geregelte Hunde-Zonen aussondern. Mit dieser neuen Strategie sollen inskuenftig Konflikte zwischen Hundehaltern und Fussgaenger (Passanten) vermieden werden. Mit dem neuartigen Konzept sollen Parkanlagen ausgesondert werden koennen, wo Hundehalter ihre Tiere ohne Leine laufen lassen duerfen. Geeignet dafuer waeren beispielsweise Gruen-Anlagen am Rande der Stadt; andererseits ist geplant, gewisse Paerke mit einem vollstaendigen Hundeverbot zu regeln. Dafuer wuerden sich insbesondere Parkanlagen eignen, wo sich viele Kinder aufhalten. Es besteht bereits heute eine Leinen-Pflicht beim Ausfuehren von Hunden; diese wird jedoch von den Haltern oftmals nicht eingehalten. Bei einer Kontrolle durch die Polizei gibt es eine Busse von CHF 60 (ca. Yen 6 000). In der Bevoelkerung hat die Angst vor Hunden zugenommen; im 2010 gab es 543 (polizeiliche) Meldungen wegen Hunden. In der Stadt Zuerich sind 6 360 und in Winterthur fast 2 900 Hunde registriert; schweizweit betraegt die Anzahl der Hunde mehr als 500 000, wobei die Zahl weiter zunehmend ist. The selection (vote) is made by a jury of experts and the readers of the magazine <Swiss Journalist>. The editorial staff of the newspaper <Tages-Anzeiger> was awarded with the title of <Editors of the Year 2011> for their work. In the ranking follows as number 2, the Swiss Television (SF), the journal <Weltwoche> and the <Swiss Radio DRS>. The journalist Urs Paul Engeler of the journal <Weltwoche> was given the title <Journalist of the Year 2011>; he caused recently headlines with his search about the Federal Councilor (Bundesrat) candidate Bruno Zuppiger of the party <SVP>. He was given the present title before the reports about the <Case Hildebrand> were made public. Ranked as number 2 were two TV- journalists of the consumer magazine <Kassensturz> based on their report about the <Coop-meat scandal>. Reto Lipp of the Swiss Television (SF) was awarded as the <Best Economics Journalist> and Karin Wenger of the <Swiss Radio DRS> as the <Best Reporter>. In other categories further titles respectively awards were given. Das Schweizer Fachmagazin <Schweizer Journalist> zeichnet jedes Jahr Journalisten (Presseleute) aus, welche in ihrem Fachbereich die <Besten> sind. Die Wahl treffen eine Jury von Experten und die Leser des Magazins <Schweizer Journalist>. Fuer ihre Arbeit wurde die Redaktion der Zeitung <Tages-Anzeiger> mit dem Titel <Redaktion des Jahres 2011> ausgezeichnet. In der Rangliste folgen als Nummer 2 das <Schweizer Fernsehen>, die <Weltwoche> und das Schweizer <Radio DRS>. Mit dem Titel <Journalist des Jahres 2011> wurde der Journalist Urs Paul Engeler von der Zeitung <Weltwoche> ausgezeichnet; er machte kuerzlich Schlagzeilen mit seinen Nachforschungen ueber den Bundesrats-Kandidaten Bruno Zuppiger von der Partei <SVP>. Er wurde noch vor den Berichten zum <Fall Hildebrand> mit diesem Titel ausgezeichnet. Auf Rang 2 kamen zwei TV-Journalisten des Konsumenten- Magazins <Kassensturz> wegen ihrer Reportage ueber den <Coop- Fleischskandal>. EU-Stress-Test: Luecken bei Schweizer AKWs. (Wed. 11.01.2012 Smi) EUの耐久試験は、再度スイス原発の高い安全基準と福島の知見を基にした対 策の妥当性を確認することになった。連邦原子力安全検査局（ENSI）に依る ストレステストの結果の説明会で、同局が2015年までに解明し処理する「未 解決問題」が全部で8つあると指摘した。特にスイスの原発は地震の際自動 停止をしないので、職員が手動で原子炉を緊急停止させなければならないと いう事情がある。<ENSI>は即刻未解決問題の措置の幾つかは既に原発事業者 に命じている。<ENSI>が特に厳重に対処したのがミューレベルク原発（ベル ン）で、同原発はスイスで問題の多い施設と見做されている。早くも2012年 末までに同原発事業者は、大地震発生の際ミューレベルク原発の上に在るヴ ォーレン湖のダムが万全であることを証明しなければならない。その他スイ スの全ての原発事業者は2012年3月31日までに、国家的「福島査察」を基に、 地震の安全対策を提出しなければならない。これらは、スイスでは1万年に 一度起きるような地震が起きても、原発が壊れない証明が含まれている。 （出典：2012年1月11日付ターゲス・アンツァイガー紙） The so-called <EU-Stress-Test> confirmed once more the high safety standards at the Swiss nuclear power plants and the accuracy of the measures taken based on the findings of Fukushima. Upon the presentation of the testing results by the Swiss Federal Nuclear Safety Inspectorate (ENSI), it was pointed out that there were a total of eight <open points> resulting from the <Stress-Test>, which <ENSI> was going to clarify and work off up to 2015. In particular, it is about the fact that Swiss nuclear power plants do not automatically shut-down in case of an earthquake, but the staff has to manually activate the reactor trip. Besides, <ENSI> has immediately sent out disposals to the nuclear power plant operators regarding to certain of the <open points>. A particular sharp reaction was taken by <ENSI> against the nuclear power plant Muehleberg (Bern); that plant (AKW) is the mostly problematic one in Switzerland. Already by the end of January 2012, their plant operators have to prove that in case of a strong earthquake, the dam of the <Wohlen> lake located above the nuclear power plant Muehleberg will remain intact. Besides, all Swiss nuclear power plant companies have to provide the proof of the earthquake safety of their plant based on the national <Fukushima- inspections> by March 31, 2012. That consists in the proof that the plant would <survive> an earthquake which occurs in Switzerland only once in 10,000 years. Der so-genannte EU-Stress-Test bestaetigt nochmals den hohen Sicherheits-Standard der Schweizer Atomkraftwerke und die Korrektheit der erfolgten Massnahmen basierend aus den Erkenntnissen aus Fukushima. Bei der Vorstellung der Pruef-Resultate durch das Eidg. Nuklear-Sicherheits-Inspektorat (ENSI) wurde festgestellt, dass es total acht <offene Punkte> aus dem Stress-Test gibt, welche <ENSI> bis 2015 klaeren und erledigen will. Insbesondere geht es darum, dass Schweizer Atomkraftwerke bei einem Erdbeben nicht automatisch abgeschaltet werden, sondern das Personal muesste manuell die Schnell- Abschaltung einleiten. <ENSI> hat zudem bereits sofort zu einigen dieser <offenen Punkte>, Anordnungen an die Atomkraftwerk-Betreiber erlassen. Besonders scharf hat <ENSI> gegenueber dem Atomkraftwerk Muehleberg (Bern) reagiert; in der Schweiz gilt dieses Atomkraftwerk (AKW) am meisten als problematisch. Bereits bis Ende Januar 2012 muessen die AKW-Betreiber nachweisen, dass bei einem schweren Erdbeben der Staudamm des <Wohlensee>, oberhalb des AKW-Muehleberg standfest bleibt. Alle Schweizer AKW-Betreiber muessen zudem bis 31. Maerz 2012 basierend auf den nationalen <Fukushima-Ueberpruefungen> den Nachweis der Erdbeben-Sicherheit erbringen. Diese besteht darin, dass das <AKW>, ein Erdbeben <ueberleben> wuerde, wie es in der Schweiz nur einmal in 10 000 Jahren passiert. Swiss Francs (CHF). That can be regarded readily as <farewell-gift> (merit) of the much esteemed (former) President of the Swiss National Bank (SNB) Mr. Philipp Hildebrand. For the business year 2010, the <SNB> had to report even a loss of 20.8 Bn. CHF. Now, the Swiss Cantons and the Federal State can even again hope for a distribution of profit amounting to a total of 1 Bn. CHF. The profit came into existence among others due to an up-valuation of the gold stocks of 1,040 tons; the gold price has increased in 2011. Furthermore, a profit was generated on the foreign currency positions of the <SNB>; that increased up to 8 Bn. CHF by the end of 2011. Besides, the hedging of the Euro-Swiss Franc-Rate accounted considerably to the fact that the <SNB> made again profits. Passengers used last year <Zurich-Airport>; that is an increase of 6.4% compared to the previous year and as much as never before. That was caused among others by the fact that in April 2010, the air traffic was stopped during days because of the volcanic eruption in Iceland. The strong Swiss currency (CHF) led also to the result that more people travelled to abroad. The airline passengers can be divided into 16 Mio. Local passengers and in 8.3 Mio. Transfer-passengers (transit). The airline company <SWISS> enjoys a record too; with 15.3 Mio. Passengers <SWISS> transported in 2011 more air travelers than any other airline in the history of the Swiss aviation. That is a growth of about 8% compared to the previous year. Regarding to the cargo business of the <Swiss WorldCargo>, the estimated <freight- tons-kilometers> increased by 1.7%. Up to check-in time 3 p.m., we strolled along the many traditional Japanese shops in the charming old town of Nagahama and eat a special <Maccha soft> ice cream just opposite the place. The weather is fine and very warm for September. We see many Japanese tourist groups (Dantai-san); they come here for day excursions because Nagahama has become very famous for the NHK Taiga-drama and for its glass craft. Shops and restaurants in the old town area close relatively early around 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.; that's why tourists which are not staying overnight go back home by the bus tour. After check in at the <Toki no Kumo>, we were carefully explained all details about the <Machiya>; it has a perfectly furnished kitchen so you can easily make small dishes or warm up foods. It is our first night, so we enjoy dinner at the <Toki no Kumo> guesthouse restaurant where a healthy and delicious French kitchen is offered.
