Focal points of the work are the climate change with its connections to social and economical development chances of the poorest countries. The appointment of Switzerland in that working panel is considered to be an appreciation of the commitment of Switzerland within the scope of the United Nations; the report shall be presented up to December 2011. For that a new, modern (futuristic) business building will be constructed, which will be ready in about two years. There up to 500 people will be employed; the enterprise is already doing business in the region since 2004. The US Company with headquarters in the US Federal State of North Carolina produced a turnover of 7,2 billion US Dollars in 2009; it owns among others the famous clothing brands such as Lee Jeans, Wrangler, and The North Face etc. Die US-Unternehmensgruppe <VF Corporation>, eine bedeutende Firma in der Bekleidungsindustrie wird im Schweizer Grenzort Stabio ein neues Verwaltungs- und Logistikzentrum bauen; vom Schweizer Standort aus wird in Zukunft das Geschaeft in Asien und in Europa gelenkt. Dafuer wird ein neuer, moderner (futuristischer) Geschaeftssitz errichtet, welcher in zirka zwei Jahren fertig sein wird. The Swiss Minister of Economics promoted Switzerland as a business location for the first time in the year 2007 on her visit to China. Several enterprises have established businesses in the Lake Geneva region, in the Greater Zurich area and some in the cantons of Basle, Berne, Fribourg and Vaud. Enterprises have installed their Europe headquarters here; famous names are for instance, <China Tobacco>, <Huawei>, <Bank of China (Suisse) SA etc. The Swiss Federal President is presently on a visit to the People's Republic of China where she had talks with the Chinese President Hu Jintao about a Free Trade Agreement. As the feasibility study had been completed, China and Switzerland intend to take up the necessary negotiations rapidly. Besides, the two countries celebrate this year the 60th anniversary of the start of diplomatic relations. Die Anzahl der chinesischen Unternehmen, welche sich mit Unternehmens- Standorten in der Schweiz ansiedeln erhoeht sich laufend; anfaenglich waren es nur ganz wenige, wobei die Anzahl inzwischen auf 50 Firmen gestiegen ist. Die Schweizer Wirtschaftsministerin machte erstmals bei ihrem Besuch in China im Jahr 2007 Werbung fuer den Standort Schweiz. Mehrere Unternehmen haben sich in der Region Genfersee, im Grossraum Zuerich und Vereinzelte in den Kantonen Basel, Bern, Freiburg und Waadt niedergelassen. Unternehmen aus China haben in der Schweiz ihre Europasitze errichtet; bekannte Namen sind zum Beispiel <China Tobacco>, <Huawei>, <Bank of China (Suisse) SA usw. Die Schweizer Bundespraesidentin besucht derzeit die Volksrepublik China, wobei sie mit dem chinesischen Praesidenten Hu Jintao Gespraeche ueber ein Freihandelsabkommen fuehrte. The beverage was invented by a female biologist and an ETH scientist and developed in their own kitchen. At a competition for young enterprises, they won a prize endowed with SFr 10,000 for their business idea and with that sum they established their own beverage company. The beverage contains a red win essence, which had been scientifically tested on fruit flies. Their life cycle prolonged considerably thanks to that drink; if it has the same effects on humans has not been proved yet. Research however has proved that the high polyphenol content in red wine has a positive effect on the cardiovascular system. Besides, red win shall reduce the risk of cancer; that has to be relativised because of the alcohol. Soon, the beverage will be on sale in many organic (bio) shops in the German part of Switzerland. Das neue, alkoholfreie und mit 100% biologischen Zutaten hergestellte Limonadengetraenk <Sir Mount H> (Ueberwinde das Alter), soll die gleiche Wirkung wie Rotwein ohne Alkohol entfalten. Das Getraenk wurde von einer Biologin und einem ETH-Wissenschaftler erfunden und in der eigenen Kueche entwickelt. An einem Wettbewerb fuer junge Unternehmen gewannen sie mit ihrer Geschaeftsidee einen Preis von SFr. 10 000 womit die eigene Getraenkefirma gegruendet wurde. Das Getraenk besitzt ein Rotwein-Extrakt, welches wissenschaftlich an Fruchtfliegen erforscht wurde. Die Lebensdauer dieser Fliegen verlaengerte sich dadurch bedeutend; ob es ebenso bei Menschen wirkt, laesst sich nicht beweisen. Forschungen haben jedoch bestaetigt, dass der hohe Polyphenolgehalt im Rotwein sich positiv auf den Herz- Kreislauf auswirkt. Rotwein soll zudem das Krebsrisiko verringern, was aber mit dem Alkohol wieder relativiert wird. Bald ist das Getraenk in vielen Biolaeden in der deutschen Schweiz zu kaufen. (Quelle: Tages-Anzeiger vom 11.08.2010) http://sirmount-h.com/about/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polyphenol 5) 日本人ETH教授、気候変動と闘う Japanese ETH-Professor fights against climate change Japanischer ETH-Professor bekaempft Klimawandel (Thu. 12.08.2010 Smi) 日本人気象学者で連邦工科大学のオオムラ・アツム教授は、1988年の「国際 放射線シンポジウム」で「地球の減光」について講演を行った。当時は彼の 知見は認められず、温暖化との関連は科学者の間で認識されていなかった。 同教授は他の科学顧問と共に京都の会議に参加していた。そこで温室効果ガ スと南極の氷の融解による海面上昇の危険性を説明した。同教授は、スイス の温室効果ガス削減が2012年までにかろうじて達成出来ると信じている。ス イス他では、同教授は「日本のほとんどの政治家は愚かな人々」だが、高校 の学友だった小泉純一郎だけは別（引用）と看做している（？）。オオムラ 氏は、誤った事実を広める為に大企業に買われた科学者達を酷評している。 最終的には国民が未来の地球を決めることになるので、危機意識を養う訓練 が重要。（出典：2010年8月12日付ターゲス・アンツァイガー紙） Already in 1988 the Japanese climate researcher and ETH Professor Ohmura Atsumu held a lecture about the theme of <Global dimming> (worldwide darkening of the sky) at the <International Radiation Symposium>. Then, his findings were ignored and the scientists did not recognize the context with the climate warming (global warming). He was among other assignments, scientific advisor at the Kyoto conference where he explained about the danger of the greenhouse gas and the sea-level rise due to the melting of the Antarctic ice. He believes that Switzerland could narrowly reach the target of the reduction of the greenhouse gas by 2012. Else wise than in Switzerland, he considers <most politicians in Japan as silly people> (quote); from that quotation, he excludes only Koizumi Junichiro, with whom he had studied together at the high school.(?) He talks critically about scientists who shall have been <bought> by major enterprises in order to diffuse false facts. Finally, the people will decide about the future of the earth that's why it is important to promote the awareness training. Bereits 1988 hielt der japanische Klimaforscher und ETH-Professor Ohmura Atsumu einen Vortrag zum Thema des <global dimming> (weltweite Verdunkelung am Himmel) am <International Radiation Symposium>. Damals wurden die Erkenntnisse des Forschers nicht beachtet und der Zusammenhang mit der Klimaerwaermung unter den Wissenschaftler nicht erkannt. Er war unter anderem wissenschaftlicher Berater an der Konferenz in Kyoto, wo er ueber die Gefahren der Treibhausgase und dem Anstieg der Meeresspiegel wegen dem Schmelzen des antarktischen Eises aufklaerte. Er glaubt, dass die Schweiz die Reduktion der Treibhausgase bis 2012 noch knapp erreichen koennte. Anders als in der Schweiz, haelt er die <meisten Politiker in Japan fuer dumme Leute> (Zitat); davon ausgenommen sei nur Koizumi Junichiro, mit welchem er zusammen das Gymnasium besuchte (?). Kritisch spricht Herr Ohmura ueber Wissenschaftler, welche sich von grossen Unternehmen <kaufen> liessen um falsche Tatsachen zu verbreiten. Schlussendlich werde das Volk ueber die Zukunft der Erde entscheiden, weshalb es wichtig sei Aufklaerungsarbeit zu betreiben. Funktioniert das Einwohner-Meldesystem nicht in Japan? 日本で100歳以上の高齢者が200名以上所在が不明になっているという最新ニ ュースは、社会的関心を呼び、日本の住民登録と年金制度を早急に改革すべ き必要性が問われた。日本では全国一律の納税ないし社会保険番号が存在し ていない。2008年、厚生省で数百万件の年金記録が失われている事や、不備 が明らかになった。2002年に政府は「住基ネット」と呼ばれるシステムで、 住民の登録情報を集中管理しようと試み、システムには11桁の識別番号が使 われている。この計画は、役人の遂行意欲の欠如と国民の受動的な反対によ って頓挫したと看做されている。2009年末に実施されたインターネットサー ヴィス<Club BBQ>によるオンラインアンケート調査によると、回答者の25% しか「住基ネットカード」を持っていないと答えた。 （出典：2010年8月9日/12日付NZZ紙オンライン版） The last news that in Japan more than 200 senior citizens above the age of hundred years are <missing> let the public listen attentively and it was asked whether the Japanese residential registration and pension system needs an urgent reform. In Japan, there exists no standard tax- or social security identification number; in 2008 it was known that several millions of pension payments were lost or couldn't be anymore allocated in the Ministry of Health. In 2002, the Government wanted to introduce a centralized inhabitant's registration system, called <Juki Net>; that is based on an 11-digit identification number. The project is considered to have failed due to a lack of will by the authorities and the passive resistance of the citizens. An online-survey by the Internet service <Club BBQ> at the end of 2009 showed that only 25% of the questioned people had a <Juki-Net> card. Die letzte Meldung, dass in Japan mehr als 200 ueber hundertjaehrige Senioren <vermisst> werden liess die Oeffentlichkeit aufhorchen und es wurde gefragt, ob das japanische Melde- und Rentensystem nicht rasch reformiert werden sollte. The study comes to a temporary result that the drivers themselves were mostly responsible for the accidents and that no technical problems had produced the incidents. Gemaess den vorliegenden Untersuchungen der US-Regierung gibt es keine technischen Maengel an den untersuchten Fahrzeugen von Toyota; die Analyse der 58 Datenschreiber (Black Box) in den verunfallten Autos ergab, dass in 35 Faellen die Autofahrer ueberhaupt nicht versucht haetten zu bremsen. (Quelle: NZZ online vom 11.08.2010) http://www.toyota.co.jp/ 8) 世界オリエンテーリング選手権、スイス人の金メダルラッシュ Several times gold for Swiss at World Orienteering Championships Mehrmals Gold fuer Schweizer an OL-WM (Mon. 09.08.2010 Smi) スイスの選手とティームが、2010年8月8日から15日までノルウェーのトロン ヘイムで開催された、第27回オリエンテーリング世界選手権大会で数個のメ ダルを獲得した。シモーネ・ニッグリ選手は、17回目の世界選手権タイトル を守った。先ず、彼女がスプリント競技で金メダルを獲得、スイスの男子が 1位と2位を独占した。その後シモーネ・ニッグリはロングディスタンス競技 で更に金メダルを取り、これが彼女の17個目の世界選手権金メダルとなった が、最後に銀メダルも一個追加して圧倒的な成功を収めた。 （出典：2010年8月9日付20分紙） The Swiss athletes and the team won several medals at the 27th World Orienteering Championships in Trondheim, Norway which took place from August 8 to 15, 2010. The Swiss female athlete Simone Niggli succeeded to win her 17th World Championship title. At the beginning, she won a gold medal in the category Sprint and the Swiss men were ranked as number one and two. Later Simone Niggli won another gold medal on the long distance;that was her 17th WM gold medal and later on, the successful athlete won again a silver medal. Fuer die Schweizer Athleten und das Team gab es mehrere Medaillen an den 27. Orientierungs-Weltmeisterschaften in Trondheim, Norwegen welche vom 8. bis 15. August 2010 durchgefuehrt wurden. Die Schweizer Athletin Simone Niggli erreichte dabei ihren 17. Weltmeister-Titel. Zu Beginn gewann sie eine Goldmedaille in der Kategorie Sprint und die Schweizer Maenner erreichten den ersten und den zweiten Rang. Spaeter gewann Simone Niggli eine weitere Goldmedaille auf der Langdistanz; dies war ihre 17. WM-Goldmedaille und nachher gab es noch eine Silbermedaille fuer die erfolgreiche Athletin. We walk straight back to the gondola station; in the meantime, it has become misty and it is raining again a bit. On the way back, we make all together a brief stop at the middle station for a short walk. Then, we say good-bye to our Japanese voluntary guide and go back to the Ryokan. On the way back from Zao-onsen, we stop here and there, to admire the beautiful rice terrace on hill sides taking some pictures. We silently thank to the Japanese farmers for doing a great work, keeping nature intact and maintaining beautiful rice fields without extra financial support. The next day, we make a long journey of about 160 km (ca. 2 hrs.) to Bandai-Atami Onsen; the weather is sunny and comfortably warm. We take the route through <Urabandai Gold Line>, leading through mountainous and woody area. We stop at <Michi no Eki> (Urabandai View Park), buying local fruits, eating soft machia ice-cream and buying some Japanese high quality garden and flower tools. Then passing the large and beautiful Lake <Inawashiro>, here and there some Soba-fields, we reach our target, Bandai-Atami-Onsen, a beautiful resort in Fukushima Ken. We check in at our accommodation called <Yomogino>; it is a Japanese dream.
